Unemployed

Well, my job of 7 and a half years just evaporated. Poof. Now I have a little severance money and no job. Lovely day, though.

  1. Gutted for you mate, hopefully you'll get something else sorted soon. In the meantime, grab a beer and go sit in the sun.

  2. Join the club, although hopefully I've got a part time job at the local pub, fingers crossed

  3. I should be okay. I worry for some of my co-workers, those with children especially. I'll live. Time for a change, anyway. Goodbye night shift, hello Sun!

    Time for a Schlitz.

  5. Ah yes, I'll reserve a seat for you. I've been there for the better part of the year, I've gotten used to having the time to paint or model at my pleasure. The worst part is that I know at some point my wife will tell me get a job...

Either way, have a beer and good luck with looking. There's jobs to be had, you just have to want to work. ;)

  6. well, i actually enjoy when this sorta stuff happens to me.

obviously, the money is important, and without it, im kinda scuppered, but it's a good chance to look around and see what other new jobs use the expertise you have, and do something new.

  7. Any way you cut it, losing the job blows. Happened to me a few months back, and I've doing ok (still unemployed), but it's still a pain in the ass to realize you have to murder your expenditures.

Luck with finding a new one.

  8. I'm in the same boat, I feel your pain. I'm going to go shopping for a bath robe so I can at least be unemployed in style...
